Day 6235 - Day 26 - Orlando
I got this particular Starbucks mug when I went to a company-funded trip to Disney, where the top 1% of employees were recognized for their contributions ton the organization… and I almost didn't go.
The day my flight left I felt horrible with aches and pains, but it didn't feel like a flu. I was seconds away from calling it a "no-go", but I decided to stick it out. I landed, I had an amazing time and met some amazing people, but upon my return I managed to come down with the worst flu I had ever had in my life. I'm still convinced I came down with a previous version of COVID because I had the same symptoms, no one could treat me for months, and through the worst of the worst in 2020-2021 I never got a single strain of sickness.
This mug reminds me of that trip- and how it almost didn't happen... how sick I was, and all the friendships I made.
Also... only kidding about the hydration joke!
