Day 6224 - Day 15 - Washington D.C.
When I went to Washington D.C., this was NOT the mug that I got; the mug I actually got was from the previous "You Are Here" City mug collection, and it was the only memento I had from that trip.
The trip was insanely stressful, and I have more memories of the stress I was under than the many, many things I saw there. At the very last minute, right before I got on the plane, I decided to get a mug. I loved and cherished it for some time- until it was stolen.
I went to my local Starbucks to see if there was any way to get that mug on order, but Starbucks had already moved on to the new collection. I was really sad that I lost it, but a couple weeks later the manager handed me a box. She couldn't get me the mug I lost, but she found a way to get me this one instead.... Obviously not the same, but now I have a very special memory with this one as well!
