Day 626 - Day 261
“Through all the happiness and sorrow, I guess I'd do it all again. Live for today and not tomorrow. It's still the road that never ends”
Road To Nowhere: Ozzy Osbourne, No More Tears
This closing track on No More Tears sums up what I’ve reflected on in other “Ozzy” picture interpretations: time passed him by and now he’s looking around saying “what the hell did I do with my life??” Not that the man didn’t accomplish great feats, but that the alcohol and drugs seemed to take it all away from his memory. It must be hard…
As hard as it must be for a person to sit back and ask them self “what happened to my life because I can’t remember any of it…” I think it is something to focus on in the now: to live every moment and remember it. I am grateful to this 365 project for many reasons, one of which is that I always have a camera close to me, and I have something for every day. I’m glad that I do have a photographic memory, but if I didn’t I’d be sure to write everything down and photograph everything!
*** Artist Notes ***
The dead end of life… and the road to nowhere that leads to me.
Lyrics:
I was looking back on my life
And all the things I've done to me
I'm still looking for the answers
I'm still searching for the key
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just won't leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
Through all the happiness and sorrow
I guess I'd do it all again
Live for today and not tomorrow
It's still the road that never ends
The road to nowhere leads to me
Ah ah
The road to nowhere's gonna pass me by
Ah ah
I hope we never have to say goodbye
I never want to live without you
The road to nowhere leads to me
The road to nowhere leads to me
