Day 551 - Day 186
“Let me go on like a Blister in the sun. Let me go on Big hands, I know you're the one.”
Blister In The Sun: Violent Femmes, Add It Up
This is always such a fun song to listen to and to play. Whenever a bunch of musicians are hanging out, and someone plays the intro lick, magically all these hands clap together at the all too familiar beat. Is it magic? No… but it is fun.
I was introduced to this band by a dear friend in one of the greatest summers of my life. I would go so far as to say it WAS the greatest summer of my life. We’d hang out till all hours of the night listening to music and studying- swimming in the pool and hot tub, watching the stars move across the midnight sky. There’s nothing so precious as the gift of music. Especially when it’s music that inspires you- that brings about memories that last. For when you find those songs, artists and albums you have only to hear the melodies, close your eyes, and it’s as if you’re right there all over again. Thanks Amy…
*** Artist Notes ***
The blister was simply hot glue gun glue piled up on a surface and then allowed to cool. I stuck it to my hand with a small bead of glue. Yes… even small beads of glue burn like hell.
Lyrics:
When I'm out walking
I strut my stuff
And I'm so strung out
I'm high as a kite
I just might stop to check you out.
Let me go on like I
Blister in the sun
Let me go on
Big hands, I know you're the one.
Body and beats,
I stain my sheets
I don't even know why
My girlfriend, she's at the end,
She is starting to cry.
Let me go on like I
Blister in the sun
Let me go on
Big hands, I know you're the one.
When I'm out walking
I strut my stuff
And I'm so strung out
I'm high as a kite
I just might stop to check you out.
When I'm out walking
I strut my stuff
And I'm so strung out
I'm high as a kite
I just might stop to check you out.

Let me go on like I

Let me go on
