Scottish Industrial Armaments – Sable SMG

 

Designed primarily for vehicle crews operating on the newly discovered habitable planet, the Sable SMG is a compact, durable and powerful personal defence weapon.

 

The receiver body is built from SIAs patented carbon fibre composite DuraCarb material and features titanium internals for superior lightweight and strength in this new environment. To combat the effects of the planet’s stronger gravity, SIA engineers have spent months testing and refining a titanium .45ACP round, making a more streamlined and significantly lighter casing and bullet whilst increasing the mushroom effect on impact. The result is a truly deadly sidearm.

 

The weapon is being issued in standard guise to tank operators, Carapyce helicopter crews and to security details protecting scientist/research teams.

 

SIA has also built modularity into the platform and as such will also be issued to specialist teams as a primary, stand-alone assault weapon for reconnaissance and exploration details.

CLASSIFIED

 

The weapon has proved its lethality against test subjects VX-0 to VX-100, capable of silent takedown against subjects detached from larger prowler packs and also against a full pack in automatic mode. All evidence has, of course, been disposed of.

 

Initial tests produced high recoil and this has since been reduced with the addition of recoil balancing modules in the stock housing.
