The women of the Crusades are the women who excelled in their roles during the Crusades. The role of women in the Crusades is often considered limited to domestic or illicit activities. While this is true to a certain extent, they also played an important role in activities such as armed combat in battles in the Holy Land and participated in the fighting.

Hadvide, daughter of Arnold I of Chiny, accompanied her husband Dodo de Cons, a confidant of Geoffrey of Bouillon. Both Hadvide and Dodo returned from the Crusade unharmed. (wikipedia)
