ANDRE LEDUCQ was a French cyclist and a good one! Riding for the famous and powerful Alcyon-team he becomes second in the Tour of 1928 and 11th in 1929. Riding in the national team he becomes 10th in 1931. In 1930 and 1932 he wins the Tour, undeniably the highlights of his cycling career.
In his Tour career (1927-1938) Leducq won 25 stages, a record that was eventually improved by Eddy Merckx in 1974.
