1969 Empty Sky Elton John & Bernie Taupin

Here is a photograph of inside cover of EMPTY SKY from my ELTON JOHN collection

 

The music and lyrics of the songwriters duo ELTON JOHN and BERNIE TAUPIN started with this first album that was called EMPTY SKY.

 

The songs are still a bit naive IMO. Elton plays harpsichord on several tracks, including "Skyline Pigeon", which John has described as being "the first song Bernie and I ever got excited about that we ever wrote."
