Longwood Gardens Flowers 6 - Anaglyph 3D Pachystachys lutea Acanthaceae Lollipop flower
Taken cha-cha style with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 camera.
Longwood Gardens is an American botanical garden. It consists of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States in the Brandywine Creek Valley.
A Pachystachys lutea Acanthaceae, or Lolli-pop flower!
We thought it odd that this flower had the nickname, the lolli-pop flower . . . as it looked more like what we call a popsicle, or ice pop, than a lolli-pop to myself and my friends.
Other nicknames given to this are the yellow or golden shrimp plant, or golden candles. At least I remembered the name of this one, lol. ;-)
