be reused for purposes other than storing cotton tips.

 

In our current society there is an emphasis on environmental

sustainability, thus as designers we need to carefully consider

how and why certain objects are packaged. When designing

a package for a product, one should try to avoid excessiveness

as this in turn consumes valuable resources.

 

The way cotton tips are packaged and sold presently are quite

mundane. Due to this, my aim was to design a package that

would not only serve the purpose of containing the product itself

(cotton tips), but also allow the consumer to use the existing

package to store items other than cotton tips.

 

It is also important to attract the viewers attention, especially

when there are other companies to compete with. This relates

tomy choice of colours which are black and white. Not only are

these colours striking, but in a bathroom and bedroom environment

black and white compliment any colour combination which is an

important factor in marketing.
