Marsh Marigold - Caltha palustris (Ranunculacaea)

A bright golden yellow flower of early Spring that forms clumps and colonies in open shade in stream margins, marshy bogs and wet woodlands. In common with other members of the buttercup family the whole plant is poisonous.
