Looking Across South-East London
This view was taken from behind glass at the Sky Garden, atop The Fenchurch Building (the Walkie-Talkie Building).
It looks south-east beyond the Thames, Tower Bridge and the former City Hall, generally along the line of the railway lines departing London Bridge Station (off-shot to the right) across Bermondsey, part of the borough of Southwark.
In the mid-distance, mid-left in the image is a power station chimney. It belongs to South East London Combined Heat and Power, better-known as SELCHP, which is a major energy from waste incineration plant, designed to generate both heat and electricity. The plant can generate up to 35 MW of power using a steam turbine in electricity only mode. It can incinerate up to 420,000 tonnes per year of municipal solid waste. Just to it's right, but much less prominent is The Den, the modern home of Millwall Football Club, a mid-level Championship side (at the time of posting this image!)
In a large format so you can explore if you so choose...
