Burberry (Bond) Street - Explored!

Transport for London have allowed the signage at Bond Street station to be renamed as part of the activities around London Fashion Week.

However, it certainly caused a stir amongst the passengers on the Central Line train I took through the station this morning. None of them were aware of the change, and a few were uncertain as to exactly where they were! I went back later and took a few shots.

The colour is apparently 'knight blue,' described by Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee as one of "Burberry’s new brand colours.” The colour scheme change affects all three lines at the station - Elizabeth, Central and Jubilee, but not completely. Whilst platform and guide signs around the corridors have changed, the signs on the walls opposite platforms, beyond the rails, still have their original Bond Street signs - clearly too difficult to change just for a week!

And on Oxford Street, the (relatively) modern entrance into the station via the shopping complex retains its Bond Street Station label and colour scheme, although the older entrance just to the east is in this temporary new scheme (I didn't look at the Elizabeth Line entrance to see whether it has been modified or not).
