HMS Boxer
At speed in the English Channel. This was our last day with a full fit of equipment, and the Captain wanted a photo of that. This would usually be taken by a helicopter, but none was available. So I was thrown into a RHIB and the Captain charged the ship up and down the English Channel at us so that I could run off a roll or two of film. This was one of the better shots.
Copyright is held by the Royal Navy, but the photo was taken by me.
A Type 22 Batch 2 anti-submarine frigate, she was too big and expensive for the Royal Navy and everyone else, eventually being sunk as a target in September 2004.
