Still Life.
Alright, so- I REALLY didn't want an fruit+bowl/apple+something shot because I am a little bit tired of them. Seriously, I've been drawing them since I was little- the same picture again and again and again.
So finding this in the hoard of apples and bananas and bowls was quite a pleasant surprise.
I love the way the top coconut is balanced so delicately one the other two- one of which has a mohawk-like-thing(which is kind of cute) and the other looks like it might have-at one point- been one half of the one balancing. I like how you can see the ridges of the coconuts. Its a really cool texture!
I can't really say that I dislike the blue- seriously, the hue in this case is almost sapphire(my absolute favorite!)- its just that because of the vibrancy of the blue, I first thought it was a photoshopped picture or that it was just a painting or something. But when I looked at it, the photoshop-accusation became more of a slightly nagging suspicion. I don't think that the blue takes away from the coconuts though- one the contrary, I think it makes them "pop," I guess you could say.

Candid.
The first time I rode the tube(I can tel because on the wall opposite of the people has the insignia for the subway in London), I was standing in front and got jostled by a friend right before the train came. I didn't move at all but it was SO SCARY! But no one else was scared when it was crowded- they did this every day!
I really like how in the picture, they all look bored and a few maybe a little irritated- not scared. They're all just going about their day. That's what I saw when I was there.
I don't like the alcohol advertisement but what can you do when you're presented with an awsome shot???
