Sweet Sweet Honey
For this MM theme sweet spot squared I choose honey the earliest sweet which people have eaten since prehistoric times.I set up the scene using a white plastic sheet honey and a wooden honey dipper.I placed the honey container in front of the flash to give a orange glow.I usually only use manual so had some fun with AV for a change but found the sweet spot a bit of a challenge as I could not see much difference in sharpness from F5.6-F16 only the depth of field changed so settled for the shot with the best sharpness vs DoF. I knew the shutter speed would be slow as I had set the ISO low as I did not want noise to degrade the sharpness,so with the camera set up on a tripod I set mirror lock up and the self timer to 10sec to reduce any shake.The end of the dipper is about an inch long so the whole scene is around two inches.
