So you have been stranded in a lemon grove at night and the batteries in your torch are starting to run out : ( Fear not with the pieces of copper and zinc wire that you just happend to have in your pocket you could make a lemon battery : )

One lemon can produce about 0.9v and 1mA of current so with a few lemons in series you should be able to run your torch and better still if your car has a flat battery with around 6 million lemons you should be able to start your it ; )
