Ferry off Praça Comercio, Lisbon
A fast catamaran ferry in the Transtejo fleet passes Praça Comercio on its way to the Cais Sodré ferry terminal. The polythene-shrouded scaffolding in the middle of the square encloses the statue that gives the square its English name of Black Horse Square. Just to the left of the statue is the arch that leads through to a smart shopping area. The square is the departure point for several tourist transport services, including the special antique red and white tourist trams, one of which can just be seen, with a modern articulated tram on route 15 passing behind it. Further to the right is an open-top bus in the Carris fleet, with an ordinary city bus passing behind it. The trams and buses are best seen if the picture is viewed in its "large 2048" form.
