Forgotten Memories

This is the same old abandoned house as in the last post. I don't know the history of it but it had obviously been vacant for many, many years. The lantern I put inside the bay window on the other side of the house lit up the second story in some places because of the many holes in the first floor ceiling. The house was caving in, missing parts of the roof, and was a danger and a liability. So I understand why these old houses have to be torn down. I didn't even know about this house until late last year but I still miss it. I want to be able to go back again and again to photograph it but I can't now. In May, when I went by it.. I found a pile of lumber. So it no longer exists. Now it's just a memory. The town of Plainville, Illinois is just a couple of miles behind this house so there was lots of light pollution. It's difficult to find total darkness in this area.
