Disaster Strikes

This is one of our two nesting Blackbirds in the conifer outside our back door. There was such a commotion yesterday evening and we found a Magpie raiding their nest. The Blackbirds were doing their very best to fight it off but it emerged with either an egg or a chick, couldn't see which.
