Thieves came at night stole many of the crates, working into the center of the stack to get to the better grates. Because the grates are so rare, The police soon found where the grates were for sale in a Norwich shop.
The Police arranged with the retailer to ask the thieves for more crates. they were caught red handed.
Most of the grates were recovered. The owner is now in the process sorting the best of the crates to a safe place ready for sale at a reasonable price.
