Chough poses Wales 13.7.2014 (1)
We had travelled to north Wales from Ipswich for a couple of days in the hope of both seeing and photographing choughs a bird that had eluded us on previous trips.
After we had rested in our self-catering cottage for a couple of hours after our long journey we set off to try and find the choughs.
As we sat in the car I spotted a pair flying in over the sea and to my delight they landed up on the steep slope of a mountain behind us.
Despite knees and hips that suggest I should not go clambering up steep slopes I had a go . Grabbed the tripod mounted the camera and started to scramble up the slope but of course the steep slope meant that I was for ever altering the legs on the tripod !!
Unknown to me I had an audience as people watched my antics but I hope the images that I managed justify the effort expended.
