Finally figured out how to undermount the springs. Adding a rail plate below this hangs too low and hits the track; removing one set of round plates does not look as good IMO.
(This is part of my ongoing series of efforts to replicate/modify the classic PennLUG/Railbricks freight truck without resorting to glue and brass tubes, because I am too clumsy to use them).
