The Indoctrination Begins

When I was a child the highlight of any car ride was when we had to stop and wait for a train. The sounds and smells of the railroad were a big thrill for me, and to my parent's credit they spent the rest of their lives allowing my interest in trains to grow into what it is today. At three months old, my daughter has yet to take notice of events on the rails, although she does seem unfazed by the noise and the smells. I'll be doing my part and allowing her interests to grow, whatever they may be. So far, Freya has shown the same disinterest in the ES44 models as her dad has, so I guess some of the railfan gene has passed on!
