Healthy Urban Coyote

After a nap, this one headed out at dusk to get some hunting done. I learned recently that coyotes are monogamous and mate for life. Their diet is larger made up of small rodents and fruit. Only a small percentage is of garbage and small pets. They won't actively hunt for small cats or dogs unless there is one in their area and they are extremely hungry.
