Klatch - Guatemala Genuine Antigua Covadonga
12 oz pkg. Bringing back Antigua. Antigua is a verdant colonial region in central highlands of Guatemala, nestled among three volcanoes. La Antigua coffee is an elegant treasure with dedicated farmers with vast knowledge and passion.
[From Klatch] Covadonga a great micro-lot coffee, on the nose you have a sweet floral, watermelon, and honey that carries into the cup with added notes of caramel, citrus and hints of cherry fruit. The creamy vanilla, honey body are followed by a sweet lingering jubilee of flavors in the aftertaste.
Antigua Valley is perfect for cultivating coffee, with ample rainfall, altitude above 4,900 feet and a constant humidity of 65% -- making Antigua coffee number one in Guatemala.
Imagine a coffee that perfectly combines body, flavor and aroma. Genuine Antigua coffee is internationally renowned for its unique characteristics: fragrance and lingering aroma, slight sweetness, clean and pleasant. A hint of chocolate, as well as a fine and discernible body, are unique characteristics of the cup. Harvested from January to March.
Genuine Antigua coffee is a pleasure of the gods in your cup that you can savor every day. Confirmed with Coffee Review seal of 93 points, Ken Davids described the Covadonga as "a sweetly bright yet balanced cup. The acidity is delicate yet penetrating, the mouthfeel light, smooth and silky, orange, honey, flowers and a hint of milk chocolate in both aroma and cup. A precious, pure and lyrical coffee."
