Straight Outta WW1

In a scene that could have taken place along any industry along the St.Louis & San Francisco Railroad in the final months of World War I, Frisco 1630 holds at the railroad crossing during night operations at the Illinois Railway Museum on Labor Day Weekend 2021. 1630, known as a Russian Decapod, is a 2-10-0 build by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1918 originally for export to Russia. After the Bolshevik Revolution, all remaining decapods not yet shipped to Russia remained behind, and were eventually sold to US railroads. IRM is the largest railroad museum in the United States.
