The most famous natural attraction of the Malta archipelago - a sandstone arch on the island of Gozo, which framed the blue waters of the Mediterranean - has not existed since yesterday. On the morning of Wednesday 8 March, in fact, after a strong storm, the "Azure Window" (Blue Window, as the arch was called) collapsed in the sea without leaving a trace of its magnificence.
La più famosa attrazione naturale dell'arcipelago di Malta - un arco di arenaria sull'isola di Gozo, che incorniciava le acque blu del Mediterraneo - da ieri non esiste più. La mattina di mercoledì 8 marzo, infatti, dopo una forte tempesta, l'"Azure Window" (Finestra azzurra, com'era chiamato l'arco) è crollato nel mare senza lasciar traccia della sua magnificenza.
