Alex - Our dream Holiday at Dreamworld
Written by Alex:
This photo was taken in 2009 at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. I was living in Kooralbyn at the time and my sister Amanda came up from South Australia to pick up the boys and take them back to Lock to see their Grandmother. I hadn't seen my sister for about two years.
This was the first time I held a koala. He was really heavy, a dead weight. The koala was really relaxed and was quite happy to just chill.
Amanda calls the face Brandon was pulling his Blue Steel face. The other boy in the photo is my younger son Bryce. We had a lot of fun at Dreamworld.
Before we lived in Kooralbyn we had travelled around New South Wales and Southern Queensland. I had a great time while we were travelling and living in Queensland. It was great to be able to spend to much time with the kids while they were growing up. Now they are nearly teenagers, they dont' want to spend as much time with me as they used to.
When I look at this picture, it reminds me of how much fin we had and that it is important to spent time with your kids when they are little, because the cliche is true, they do grow up too fast.
