When I was just a kid

I used to be a pirate

When I was just a kid

Then I changed my mind

And chose to be a squid

 

That wasn't very smart

For I didn't know how to swim

Nor could I hold my breath

So I chose to choose again

 

Next I chose a bird

Flew high above the skies

But it always seemed to be

The clouds would fill my eyes

 

So lastly what I chose

Was to be just little me

There is nothing more exciting

And nothing quite as free
