Trotternish Ridge - Sron Vourlinn
Yesterday we headed off to one of our favourite quiet spots at the north end of Skye. We have always called it Aird but when I checked on the map it would appear to be called Port Gobhlaig which is part of Kilmaluag Bay. Either way it is a peaceful place to take a flask of coffee and sit and watch the world go by. The weather wasn't great but in between showers I was able to take a few shots.
The wedge shaped hill in the background is part of the Trotternish Ridge called Sron Vourlinn.
I am amazed at how useful I'm finding the Sigma 100-400mm lens. I've never owned this focal length before, preferring either longer or shorter lenses but I'm finding it great for use in landscapes as it offers a different perspective.
