Skye Cottage
I've taken a few shots of this cottage over the years but nothing to write home about. I have to thank Skyebaggie for giving me the idea to try it with a very wide angle lens and here are the results - a lot better than anything I've produced up to now. Skyebaggie pointed out that to get anything worthwhile you had to have a decent sky. I had taken quite a few in less than optimal conditions, then as I was packing up, the sun came out so I very quickly snapped a few before the light disappeared again.
When using the Voigtlander 15mm lens on the Leica M-E you get a very bad purple corner effect, so you really have to convert to B&W. I used the fake infra red preset in Photoshop Elements then messed about with it a bit more to get this result. I've replaced the version of this photo I had on here with this slightly cropped version which I think is better balanced.
