Can Biel, masia fortificada.
Situació:
La Masia fortificada de Can Biel es troba entre el riu Ter i la carretera N-141e, als afores de la localitat d'Anglès (a l'est), a la comarca de Selva (CAT).
Història:
Edificació del segle XVII. Es podria tractar de l'antiga mas Masó, documentada a principis del segle XIII.
L'existència de la torre d'aparença defensiva s'ha relacionat amb l'augment del trànsit de bandolers per aquesta vall als segles XVI-XVIII.
Descripció:
Es tracta d'una masia fortificada a la qual destaca la seva magnífica torre quadrada del segle XVII.
Al segon pis de la torre hi ha una llinda datada el 1602 ia l'últim pis apareix la data de 1637.
Dues de les finestres del primer pis, a la façana principal, porten la data de 1610 i 1637. A la planta baixa, al lateral de ponent, hi ha una llinda datada el 1639.
Es troba en bon estat de conservació.

Situation:
The fortified farmhouse of Can Biel is located between the river Ter and the N-141e road, on the outskirts of the town of Anglès (to the east), in the region of Selva (CAT).
History:
Building of the 17th century. It could be the old Masó farmhouse, documented at the beginning of the 13th century.
The existence of the defensive-looking tower has been linked to the increase in the traffic of bandits through this valley in the 16th-18th centuries.
Description:
It is a fortified farmhouse with a magnificent square tower from the 17th century.
On the second floor of the tower there is a lintel dated 1602 and on the top floor the date 1637 appears.
Two of the first floor windows, on the main facade, are dated 1610 and 1637. On the ground floor, on the west side, there is a lintel dated 1639.
It is in a good state of conservation.
