Sant Pere de les Preses.
Sant Pere de les Preses és una església del municipi les Preses (La Garrotxa) CAT.. Està dedicada a sant Pere apòstol venerat com a patró de la parròquia.
Degut als terratrèmols de 1427-28, l’església de Sant Pere de Les Preses es va esfondrar. L’actual església és un edifici del segle XIX, amb estil neoclàssic, en la qual s’hi pot observar un doble campanar inaugurat el 1911. L’actual església consta de tres naus separades per grans columnes.

Els Gegants de Les Preses –promocionats pel Centre Cultural i realitzats amb la participació econòmica i material dels veïns presencs i de diverses entitats del poble– foren creats per l'escultor Pere Sala, mentre que la direcció artística la realitzà Miquel Duran des del Centre Cultural.
Es van estrenar el dia 13 d'octubre de 1996 i van ser apadrinats pels Gegants de Vilobí d'Onyar i els de Les Planes d'Hostoles. El Gegant (Elionardis) fa 3'85 metres d'alçada i pesa 66 kg, mentre que la Geganta (Ricarda) en fa 3'63 i pesa 63 kg. Segons l'estudiós de la història local Mn. Joan Pagès i Pons, els noms d'Elionardis i Ricarda corresponen als noms de dos personatges històrics de l'època medieval, que estan lligats amb la història local i amb la noblesa del segle x.

Sant Pere de les Preses is a church in the municipality of Les Preses (La Garrotxa) CAT.. It is dedicated to Saint Peter the Apostle, revered as the patron saint of the parish.
Due to the earthquakes of 1427-28, the church of Sant Pere de Les Preses collapsed. The current church is a 19th century building, with a neoclassical style, in which you can see a double bell tower inaugurated in 1911. The current church consists of three naves separated by large columns.

The Giants of Les Preses - promoted by the Cultural Center and realized with the financial and material participation of the residents present and various organizations in the town - were created by the sculptor Pere Sala, while the artistic direction was carried out by Miquel Duran from the Cultural Center .
They premiered on October 13, 1996 and were sponsored by the Giants of Vilobí d'Onyar and Les Planes d'Hostoles. The Giant (Elionardis) is 3'85 meters tall and weighs 66 kg, while the Giantess (Ricarda) is 3'63 and weighs 63 kg. According to local history scholar Mn. Joan Pagès and Pons, the names of Elionardis and Ricarda correspond to the names of two historical characters from the medieval period, who are linked with local history and with the nobility of the tenth century.
