La importància del temple ha servit perquè el Papa Francesc li atorgués el títol de Basílica Menor el 2014, fet que el va convertir en l'únic lloc de culte amb aquesta distinció al Principat.

The importance of the temple has led Pope Francis to grant it the title of Minor Basilica in 2014, making it the only place of worship with this distinction in the Principality.
