‘Doodle with bugs by Su_G’: my entry in Spoonflower’s ‘Doodlebugs’ Design Challenge. You may have to use the 'fabric' link and peer hard to see these doodle bugs. Hand- painted using digital oil paint + finished with felt pen. © Su Schaefer 2023
I loved using paint to do my doodles. Doodling my bugs taught me that a dot of white works twice as hard as any other colour. For the doodle without the bugs see ‘Doodle without bugs by Su_G’.
Shown as a cushion in the mockup (c/o Spoonflower) with a close up beside so you can see (seek) the bugs...

There are about 1,700 entries, as we speak, and (much as I hate to say this) if previous contests are anything to go by, many entries will have little to no relationship to the brief (doodle bugs). There is a new game in town though: spot the AI-generated entries (contrary to rules, but hey, rules, shmools, rules are for fools, and other sayings of our times).
