1264. Tides out..

17.8.2019. LNER Thompson designed 'B1' Class 4-6-0 No 1264 rounds the curve as it follows the course of the River Esk and passes under Larpool Viaduct.

Completed in 1884, the viaduct carried a single line of the Scarborough & Whitby Railway over the river and over the Whitby, Redcar & Middlesborough District Railway (now part of Network Rail track and used by the NYMR). The tracks on the viaduct were lifted as a result of the Beeching cuts. Also known as the Esk Valley Viaduct.

12.45 Whitby - Pickering service.
