LNER Gresley A4 Pacific 4-6-2 No 60009 'Union of South Africa' crosses the River Nidd at Knaresborough with the SSE.
Back then the SSE had a much bigger circuit than today - running via Harrogate, Leeds and Wakefield before heading off to Scarborough.
