Shooting tips:
I shot this back in June in my studio… I took a red rose and misted it with water…
I put it on a table and positioned my camera on a tripod… I got three LED flashlights… I taped a green gel to one, a blue gel to another and left the last one clear… I turned off the lights and positioned the LED flashlights until I was satisfied with the intensity of colors… using a 60mm macro lens and an aperture of f/14 for sharpness and a 6 second exposure, giving me enough time to paint each of the colors onto the rose… You must work quickly… moving the LED flashlight like a paintbrush… It’s called “Painting With Light…”
CS Photoshop was used for cropping and very, very little for saturation…
The cost of LED flashlight vary, but they are well worth it…
