Route 61 - Ebury way
Ebury Way 5 km / 3 miles Herts
The Ebury Way is an easy route for cyclists, walkers, and horse-riders and uses a surfaced disused railway track. It crosses the Colne, Chess and Gade rivers - the Three Rivers - and the Grand Union Canal, as it threads through suburban fringes in a mixture of habitats for wildlife in open moor, scrubby wood and watersides.
Cycling is permitted along the whole length but horse-riders are restricted to the eastern section between Moor Lane Crossing and Rickmansworth. The path is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users; disabled people can open the gates using RADAR keys. It forms part of National Cycle Network route 6/61, that continues to Watford making one link to it from the Grand Union Canal.
