[DC] Basil and Cass

A preview of cool things to come. I’m slowly working my way through my Lego laundry list, and I can say with certainty that Christopher Priest’s current Deathstroke run WILL BE the next full ensemble shot. I'll include commentary on both the run as a whole and the mild controversy surrounding the ending of the Lazarus Contract. Next will be the new Justice League of America (only have one more member to build!), and then will be a gigantic Bat-Family shot, complete with Rebirth-revived 90’s classics (Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain, etc.) a few of Scott Snyder’s N52 creations (Bluebird, Duke, Batwing), and classic Bat-Family mainstays.

I haven’t forgotten about Marvel either - the X-Men are in the works, and I’ll be doing two Spider-Man group shots to coincide with the release of Homecoming. Several classic Avengers figures are already designed, and I’m strongly considering tackling on Hickman’s pre-Secret Wars Avengers team.

Finally, I’ll be writing up a lengthy retrospective on the first year of DC Rebirth. It’s going to come with a really grand shot with a ton of the Rebirth characters I’ve already made, with a great many of them updated. I’m going to have to modify my setup significantly to include so many minifigures in a single shot, but I think I’ll be able to get it done.

On an unrelated note, I was quite surprised to hear from one of my followers that I had been mentioned in a BrickShow video of their favorite custom DC minifigures. While I’m unsure if the reviewer was aware that I don’t actually manufacture custom parts, his choice of words seemed to indicate that he greatly admired my minifigure creations much more than anyone else on the list. When I heard about this, it really made my day. Check the link below at 2:07 if you want to hear what he had to say. :)
