[Marvel] The Modern Age Avengers

The more I ignore the bad parts about current Marvel and focus on what is/what was good, the more I can comfortably be a fan of both comic properties without feeling like I'm being forced to like things I'm not okay with. My new outlook on Marvel is pretty similar to my experience with the New 52; it was weird, overly edgy, and sometimes character-destroying, but it didn't detract from my continued enjoyment of the Post-Crisis, Silver Age, and Golden Age continuities.

 

As per request, here's a Marvel groupshot to shake things up a bit on my photostream. In the past 5 years, the Avengers have rotated through many different members. but those that are depicted here are some of my favorite characters in all of Marvel. In my opinion, Marvel peaked before 2015's Secret Wars, and this is an idealized representation of what I remember Marvel to be - colorful, optimistic, fun, and iconic. Ironically, this wasn't a photo that I shot weeks ago and only waited until now to post - I made, shot these figs over the course of two hours, starting with Captain America, and ending with Black Widow.

 

I'm really proud with how some of these figures turned out. My personal favorites are Captain America, Thor, and Scarlet Witch. I'm particularly proud of Thor because of how thorough I managed to accessorize him. He's basically got every single feature of modern Thor's costume in purist form.
