[Lego DC] The Justice League (New 52) (Explored)
I attempted this group shot of a fully decked out New 52 Justice League mainly to test a new editing technique called focus stacking. In most of my images, I position minifigures equidistant to the camera lens to ensure perfect focus across the board. This makes it more difficult to do larger group shots where it is necessary to stage multiple rows of figures at different distances from the camera.
Focus stacking is a technique that can alleviate this inevitable complication of macro photography. Essentially it involves making a digital composite from multiple images each with a different plane of focus. This can be performed pretty easily (and automatically) in any modern version of Adobe Photoshop.
I elected to use KO parts purely for aesthetic reasons. The SY Justice League series had really great arm printing that I wish Lego would give to more superhero minifigures. In my opinion, Batman benefits the most from the SY parts; the smaller Bat-symbol is very reminiscent of his appearance in the DC animated film, Justice League: War.
