Sinterklaas is coming

On a foggy, cold November night, Sinterklaas arrived in the Netherlands with his servants.

Sinterklaas is a tradition (in the Netherlands) based on Saint Nicholas of Myra, a bishop who lived in the 4th century and was known for his generosity. The modern figure of Sinterklaas, the good saint, is a friend to children who arrives in the Netherlands every year with his horse and servants on a steamboat full of gifts and distributes presents on the night of 5 to 6 December. The tradition combines the historical figure with elements from folk tales about a friend to children who

brings gifts.

I hope it makes you smile
