In the Netherlands, King's Day is celebrated lavishly on 27 April. The British celebrate it on 9 June.

The British do not have a bank holiday similar to Koningsdag. Instead, the birthday of the British reigning monarch is celebrated with the official Trooping the Colour ceremony, which usually takes place in June - even though Charles' birthday is in November.26 Apr 2024
