Bennies sadness

Benny sits dejectedly on the sofa while Peter, Scout (visiting Peter) and Oleg come storming in the living room.

 

PETER:

Wheeeeee....that was fun on the cloth peg swing Scout.

Now limona...Hey Benny! How sad you look. Are you sick?

 

SCOUT:

Come play outside with us Benny. It's beautiful summer weather

 

BENNY:

No...thank you

 

OLEG: (sits down next to Benny)

What's the matter with you Benny. I don't know you like that. You don't eat, don't sleep, have blue bags under your eyes and your fur looks dull.

 

BENNY:

I've been so stupid Oleg. You know I like Daisy-Maude so much and I took her to the Night at the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Now all my savings are gone. I have now asked her if she would like to eat Fish and Chips with me. I am ashamed that I asked such a beautiful lady out to eat Fish and Chips with me. She could do better with a bear of standing.

SCOUT:

Oh no Benny! You shouldn't talk like that! You are a very nice bear and I know Daisy-Maude likes you very much, because she told me so.

 

PETER:

Yes Benny, she told me that too and she said that when she thinks of you her heart goes fl...flop...flop...fl...eh...beats faster.

 

BENNY:

Really?

 

PETER:

Yes..I'm not lying

Look...You can borrow my teddy bear that Mummy Marian made for me. Hug him and you will be less sad

Please don't get it too wet with your tears

 

BENNY:

So....she doesn't mind me being a Ty Beanie Bear?

 

SCOUT:

Not at all! She likes you just the way you are!

Sweet, thoughtful and fond of good food!!!!

 

PETER: (whispers to Scout)

SCOUT:
