Funky meets Emmett

from Australia visits Funky in the Netherlands for the 1st time.

Funky waits at the fairy gate in Mummy Marian's garden. By now it has become evening.

 

FUNKY:

I hope Emmett hasn't forgotten me.

It is getting cold and dark and it is starting to rain and I am getting (yawning) a bit tired.

 

When Funky is almost asleep, a bright light falls across his face.

He looks at the fairy gate and sees, behind a misty curtain surrounded by brightly coloured stars, an apparition that looks like Emmett.

 

FUNKY:

It's him....it must be him....it's Emmett!!!!

Emmett...it's me (waves tp Emmett)....Funky!!!

Give me a paw...I'll help you through the gate.

I'm so glad to see you!

Come, I'll show you Mummy Marian's garden and then we'll have honey tea and eat a chocolade cake

 

EMMETT:

(Still a little dazed from the journey )

I was excited to go through the gate, but I'm here and I'm so happy.

Will I get to meet the other bears too?

 

FUNKY

Yes of course...we are going to do a lot!
