Sweet Layers

Peter and Oleg have made delicious layers of orange juice, cherry jam, custard, chocolate, pureed Tom Pouce and whipped cream on top.

 

PETER:

I'm a little worried Oleg.

 

OLEG:

What do you mean Peter?

 

PETER:

We hardly have any guests. We know that Hakus is not coming, because he is to Mars, Bernus is not coming because Hakus is not there, Aunt Lucy is too busy with Munin, so they are not coming either. Uncle Paddington is too tired and Mommy Marian is busy in the garden.

But ... I'm sure Scout is coming because hij is mijn beste vriend!.

 

OLEG:

The different layers was Paddy's idea, so I think he will come too.

We'll wait a while and if no one comes, we will eat everything together.

 

PETER (little disappointed).

But .... It was meant for the guests. (wipes away a tear)

We've had so much work on it.

 

OLEG: Have patience, Peter! The day is not over yet. Guests can still come.
