Have not been here in a long time - haven't even been in this part of town for a long time. But certain restaurants NEED to survive the pandemic, and this is, for sure, one of them. What would NYC be without Katz's Deli. OK, so nobody's dining in right now or faking orgasms at the tables, but right now, I'll take what I can get, and that's take-out.
I met my friend Victoria for drinks that were WAY too expensive, but damn, she'd been hiding out near San Diego for months and I hadn't seen her since before lockdown, so hang the cost. Then since I'd passed Katz's on the way over, the more I thought about it, the more I had to get something to take home. Texted my wife to see if she wanted anything, too. She just wanted fries, but I still ended up having a very expensive evening - BUT, I went somewhere that wasn't home or office, and I did a thing!
