Class 377/3

The 28-strong class 377/3 sub class are unique in the Southern 377 fleet in being formed of only 3 carriages. The original 28 consist of the comfortable 2x2 seating throughout the unit. In early 2017 this sub-class was augmented by 377342. This unit was reduced to three carriages following a fire, which damaged an intermediate carriage, was duly renumbered from 377442 to reflect this. This unit retained its 3x2 seating pattern in the remaining intermediate and has subsequently returned to a 4-carriage unit
